An automatic measurement lineup for regulation of total nitrogen and total phosphorus.
Overview
Concentrations of nitrogen and phosphorus have been regulated in order to prevent over-abundance of nutrients in enclosed sea areas. Since the proportion of environmental standards attained is low, in reaction to the over-abundance of nutrients in enclosed sea areas, the 2000 fifth water quality total amount regulations considered all-round policies on nitrogen and phosphorus as well as COD. Our equipment for automatically measuring total nitrogen and total phosphorus allows for compliance with these total amount regulations. We have realized high-accuracy measurements, low cost, and lower maintenance displaying stability over a long period of time.
Features
- One piece of equipment makes possible simultaneous and continuous measurements of the concentrations of the two components, total nitrogen and total phosphorus. (PN-1000).
- By using an ultraviolet ray oxidizing analysis method unique to us, we made great cuts in maintenance operations without losing high correlation with the previously used autoclave method.
- With the ultraviolet ray oxidizing analysis method, prehandling at low temperatures (under 100 degrees C) and at normal pressure is possible so that, compared to the previously used autoclave method, ease of maintenance is vastly improved and fewer parts need to be replaced.
- In all series, there is a high correlation with the previously used manual analysis method, and it is possible to answer the need for continuity of data. The amount of test chemicals used is one-third of that of previous models. Low running costs have been achieved.
